Rivertowns resident Ten-Seng Guh is raising money in the memory of his father, Dr. Cherng J. Guh.
Here is part of Guh’s GoFundMe post:
This fund is in memory of Dr. Cherng J. Guh, M.D. (6/20/1955 - 2/3/2012): beloved father, true patriot, loving brother, kind friend, and peace-loving global citizen. He passed away due to a sudden stroke at the age of 56. His entire life was dedicated to the joy and service of those around him. Just a few months before his passing, Dr. Guh embarked on a medical service trip to the country of Nepal, where he provided free healthcare and medicine to over 1000 patients, including the elderly, disabled, and students. He eventually wanted to return to his parents' homeland of mainland China and become a medical missionary.
In memory of his altruistic heart and big dreams of a peaceful, ideal world, this page has been created to raise funds for causes near and dear to his heart, specifically service and volunteerism, maternal/geriatric health, and religious freedom in China.
Guh has raised $720 towards his $10,000 goal. To support the cause, click through the window above. A total of seven people have donated in 22 months, according to his GoFundMe page.
