Summer Fun...Taekwondo...and Life Skills

What do summer camp, Taekwondo, and life skills have in common?

Answer: United Martial Arts Centers (UMAC)

Martial Arts offer many benefits, especially for children. Taekwondo is a fun way for boys and girls to get active, achieve fitness, and learn life skills. Students learn self-defense while reinforcing valuable life skills, like self-discipline, respect, and socialization skills. Even children with special needs, like attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) benefit from learning self-control and concentration while learning the Martial Arts.

The United Martial Arts Centers specialize in children’s Summer Camp, providing a clean, safe, and positive environment for your child. In addition to Martial Arts, children make new friends, participate in arts & crafts, team-building, outdoor play, water games, and time for reading, and Taekwondo Character Development.

Parents, feel at ease knowing your child(ren) are safe, happy, and having fun.

UMAC Summer Camp Registration is open; sign-up today and save.

UMAC Adventure Summer Camp offers scheduled structure,

  • Mondays: Arts & Crafts

  • Tuesdays: Hiking (lots of great day hikes in the Hudson River Valley)

  • Wednesday: Lake Compounce (registration includes a Lake Compounce season pass)

  • Thursdays: Bear Mountain

  • Friday: Presentation Day, students work in teams and put on skits

We also plan fun day-trips: bowling, movie theater, or local attractions, like the Intrepid Air and Space Museum.

Please read, “From Summer Camp...To Budding Martial Artist”, written by a student’s father. This is a great example of one of my student’s on our leadership path and exemplifies what UMAC is all about...teaching Taekwondo, developing great student leaders and helping each student grow and mature into a “...focused, confident, respectful, doesn’t give up, goal-oriented with a sense of accomplishment, and giving of time and spirit” type of person.

Parents, sign up for just 1 week, all 8 weeks, or the weeks that meet your needs. This is a great way to see if your child enjoys learning Taekwondo. And if they do, when summer ends, they can transition into our After-School program, offering year-round programming for your son or daughter.

Parents of current UMAC students, summer camp is a great way for students to keep up their training all summer long.

UMAC provides a fun, safe, and positive experience where your son or daughter develops confidence, respect, and discipline in a “feel good” environment. We look to strengthen the foundation for living a Black Belt Life...for the betterment of the individual and their community.

UMAC Summer Camp Registration is open; sign-up today and save on early registration (Before March 31st).

Thank you for this opportunity to serve you.
