Edchen E. Ferguson, 78, of Maine, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
Edchen was born in 1934, in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School in 1951.
She received a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering from Tufts University's School of Engineering in 1955, the only woman in her graduating class of 175 engineers.
