John Partenza, 83, of Dobbs Ferry died peacefully on June 20, 2013. John was raised in Eastchester to Angelo and Aldofa Partenza.
John worked for Metropolis Country Club for many years. He was an avid golfer, raised racing pigeons and enjoyed gardening.
John most of all loved his family, his dear wife Marie whom he married on May 18, 1952 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, his son John and his wife Janet, his daughter Joanne and her husband Richard, his loving grandchildren Christofer Smith and his wife Jen. Michael Smith, and John Partenza and his wife Liz, along with his cherished sister and brother, Dina Dorney and Angelo Partenza.
He is predeceased by his brothers Frank, Sandy and Gino and his sister Pauline. John was the beloved uncle of his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and was Uncle John to all the neighborhood children. John was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church and a longtime member of the Embassy Club in Dobbs Ferry.
