Drago Balic, 62, of Dobbs Ferry, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Calvary Hospital.
Born in Croatia to Ivan and Luca Balic he immigrated to the United States in 1973 at the age of 23.
His children, Branko, Lucy and Tayana, would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of St. Cabrini Nursing Home, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, N.Y. Presbyterian Hospital, St. John's Hospital and Calvary Hospital. Their dedication and efforts to provide medical, palliative, hospice, spiritual and emotional care were most commendable and a heartwarming blessing to Drago and those who loved him.
He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends, near and far, but always remembered for his strong will, courage and determination.
Mass of the Resurrection Thursday 1:30pm St. Cabrini Nursing Home Chapel, 115 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, with visiting 12 noon to 1:30pm.
