32 town trucks plowing
Just spoke with Deputy Commissioner of Public Works Rich Fon. We have 32 trucks out . They will be working till midnight and then will take a break for a few hours. The crew will resume their plowing before the early morning hours ---our hope is that you will be able to get to your destination tomorrow morning safely and that the roads will be cleared (assuming it stops snowing). Please be advised that if the snow is coming down fast and heavy we could be on your street clearing the road--and a few minutes later the road will be bad again. I asked the Chief if cars can be parked inside the commuter lots tonight. His response is posted below.
Finally, we will try to maintain our sanitation pickup schedule tomorrow-depending on safety considerations. If we have to cancel, we will advise. Be safe. Try to stay home.

Subject: Re: Hartsddale train station commuter lot parking
Our patrol personnel will not be issuing tickets tonight to vehicles parked in the commuter lots of the Hartsdale Train Station. However, the Parking Authority has the ability to write tickets and even tow vehicles that are obstructing snow plows.
