It's hard to believe I'll never run to another late-night fire—in my pajamas—here again.
I've covered my last board meeting, picked up the final police blotter and written about the last store opening or closing.
Leaving the Rivertowns now, after having grown up in Ardsley, I think I know more about these villages than I ever thought was possible...and as if there were an infinite amount more to learn.
It's been an extremely gratifying two years—interviewing kids whose intelligence and generosity went well beyond their years, getting to know our police chiefs and mayors and reporting on contravercial issues as the conversations unfolded. Of course, there were hundreds of stories I wanted to cover and was not able to, and countless people whose contributions to the community I wish I could have highlighted.
My leaving affords an opportunity to ask: What do you like most about Rivertowns Patch? (Least?) Which types of stories pique your interest the most? The least?
I appreciate your feedback and can't wait to see how the site flourishes under its new leadership.
