Community Update

The AARP will be offering residents a driver safety course
on Monday February 3rd from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM. The cost is $20 for
AARP members and $25 for non members. The program is offered at the Theodore
Young Community Center, 32 Manhattan Ave, White Plains. To register call 989
3631.

You will learn defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies, new
traffic laws and rules of the road. Upon completion of this course you will
receive a 10% reduction in the base rate of your automobile liability and
collision insurance premiums every year for three years. You may be eligible to
reduce as many as four points on your driving record. Point reduction can only
be credited every 18 months and does not affect actions mandated by statute or
revocation already in place. For information visit 222.aarp.org/drive.

I am pleased that the AARP is working with the town to offer
our residents this excellent service.
