Alyza Ngbokoli of the Ephs had an outstanding day at the track, as she won the 400 meter run in 64:31,was 2nd in the 100, clocked at 15.77, and then she and the 4 x 400 relay quartet won their race in 3:54.68. Commenting on the meet, she said this: “At some point during the meet today, I wasn’t as mentally ready as I felt physically ready,However, I really appreciated the constant support from my teammates and coaches. I ended the day with much more confidence than when I started, I’m very satisfied with my individual results and the team’s performance.”

Alex Pezzuto of Hastings and Johnson and Wales was clearly the team leader throughout the just concluded baseball season. He led the Wildcats in batting, with a .373 average, batted 142 times, scored 30 runs, had 57 hits,including 7 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 home run, had 27 runs batted in, walked 16 times, was hit by the pitcher once, and fanned 6 times, His fielding average was .971. In the final week of the season, hosting Norwich on April 16th, they won the opener, 5-4, as he had 4 putouts and 4 assists, while in game 2, he scored the Hawks’ only run, had 1 hit, and 1 assist in the 4-1 setback. In a double loss to Salve Salve on the 17th, he had 3 hits in the first game, fanned once, had 1 putouts and 3 assists in the 8-2 loss, while he had 1 hit, made 4 putouts, ad 1 assist and left 5 men on base in the 7-2 loss. In a twin bill at St. Joseph’s of Maine on the 18th, He batted 2-4, scored a run, made 3 putouts, had 2 assists, and left 1 runner on base in the 4-2 win in the opener, and in the nightcap, he had 1 hit and fanned once.. The season came to its end on the the 19th at Rivier with a final twin bill. In game 1, he had 2 it, scored run,made 3 putouts, and 1 assist. In game 2, he had 1 run on 1 hit, made 2 putouts, and had 4 assists.
Senior Nora Howe of Hastings and Haverford, ran her career best in the 3,000 Steeple Chase on April 19th, with her clocking of 12:06.73 in a non-scoring meet at Widener.
In the first of 2 games at East Tennessee State on April 16th, freshman right fielder Andrea Hosting Norwich on April 16th, Johnson & Wales won the opener, 5-4, as shortstop Alex Pezzuto had 4 putouts and 4 assists, while in game 2, he scored the Hawks’ only run, had 1 hit, and 1 assist in the 4-1 setback. of the Furman Paladin’s softball team batted 2-3, scored a run, and had 2 runs batted in as they topped the host Buccaneers , 7-3. She leads the team in batting with a .319 average, with the record now 25-20/9-5.
In a 6-3 loss at home to Penn, Jibran Ahmad of Dartmouth had 1 shot on goal and 2 turnovers in the lacrosse game, with the record now 1-9/9-5.
In a 7-4 over hosts Kenyon on April 16th, John Michael Bogusz of Wooster had 3 ground balls, while teammate Jake Bernard had 1 shot, 1 ground ball, and 1 turnover, while in the season finale at home with Oberlin on the 19th, a 12-6 loss, Bernard had 4 shots and 1 turnover. On the season, he started in 12 of 15 games, scored 12 goals, had 8 assists, scored 20 points, had 40 shots, 9 ground balls 16 turnovers, and 2 penalties. Bogusz started in 1 of 12 games, had 3 shots, 13 ground balls, 5 turnovers, 3 caused turnovers, and 3 penalties.
At Siena on April 19th, 5-4, southpaw hurler Max Bruckner of Iona, pitched 1 inning, but did not figure in the decision, as the Gaels lost to the Saints, with the record now 6-22/3-8.
On April 18th at Buffalo, the Cortland Red Dragons’ softball team swept their twin bill, wherein they won the opener, 5-3, with Jamie Bucci having 1 hit, scoring 1 run, and leaving 1 runner on bases, while in the 5-2 nightcap, she had 1 hit hit and tallied 1 run in the
game. On the 19th, in a split at Fredonia, she went 2-4 in batting, had 1 putout, and left 3 runners on base in the 7-3 loss , while in the top heavy 13-1 victory in the night cap, she had 2 hits, score 2 runs, and walked once, with the record now 19-13/10-7
In a sweep of hosts Clark on April 18th, second bagger Madison Dinaso of Babson had 1 hit, scored a run, and had 1 r.b.i. in the 10-2 win, she had 1 hit, scored a run, and left 2 runners on base.
In the final season action with W.P.I. on the 19th, a double loss,
she had 5 putouts and left 1 runner on base. The team’s record was 24-9/11-6. Dinaso started 26 of 33 games, had a batting average of .236, 55 at bats, 14 runs,13 hits, 2 doubles, and 10 runs batted in. Fielding she mad 64 pout outs, 27 assists, and committed 5 errors.
In a singles match at Stony Brook, Alex Holdstein of Hartford dropped his singles match, 5-2 , as they lost to their hosts, 5-0.
In a 16-7 win at home with Methodist, Jake Hymowitz of Guilford had 1 shot on goal , 1 ground ball , and 1 caused turnover, with the record now 8-6/2-6.
The Spring tennis season ended on April 18th for Ali Kaminetsky and the Lehigh women’s tennis team at Bucknell, as her doubles twosome dropped their match,8-2 and she lost her singles match, 6-0.
On April 13th, in tennis play with Hunter College, Michael Kennelly of Oneonta won his singles match, 6-4,6-1, and then he and his partner prevailed in doubles, 8-2. The same day with Wheaton, he copped his singles 6-7(7-3) 6-1,6-1, followed by an 8-3 win in doubles, while with Hamilton as the guests on the 17th, they lost 5-4, as he won his singles match 7-6(13-11),6-1, and then lost in doubles, 8-6.
In a 14-9 loss at Farmingdale on April 16th, Liam McHugh of Mt. St. Vincent’s lacrosse team had one penalty in the game.
In a 20-5 lacrosse win at home with Franklin Pierce on April 19th, Ciara Morley of Bentley had 2 shots with 1 on goal, with the record now 7-7/6-4
In the first of 2 softball games at Mt. St. Mary’s on April 16th, Jennifer Onwe of The Sage Colleges pinch ran and then scored as they topped their hosts, 9-8. Game 2 was suspended due to darkness, and will be continued at a later date.
In a 7-6 win over hosts Bloomfield on April 18th, shortstop Eddie Ritch of American International had 2 hits, scored 2 runs, had 1 r.b.i., had 1 assist, made 1 error, and stole one base in the game.

At Weidner on April 19th, Julian Saliani of Johns-Hopkins finished 4th in the men’s 1,500, with a time of 3:54.88,
In a 14-9 loss at home to Cornell, John Yozzo-Scapperota of Brown’s lacrosse team scored his initial goal of the season, unassisted, with .34 seconds left in the 4th period. The Bears’ record is now 6-6/1-4.
In a home track meet on April 19th, Brendan Wortner of Geneseo won the men’s 5,000 meter race with a time of 15:12.24, topping the 2nd place finisher by 34 seconds.
