Friends of Old Croton Aqueduct to Celebrate Keeper's House at Annual Meeting

The Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct (FOCA) are ready to give new life to the Keeper’s House on Walnut Street in Dobbs Ferry as a Visitor and Education Center for the Old Croton Aqueduct.       The public is invited to their annual meeting on Sunday, April 27 at 2 pm at the Irvington Library. The project creative team will unveil the interior features of the Center,  including state of the art exhibits which describe the engineering miracle of the Aqueduct and how it is still relevant in today’s fast paced, technological world; and a “time travel” offering taking visitors on a magical trip from the 1800s to 2014.  A new film celebrating the importance of the Aqueduct and the pleasure of the trail will have its premiere public showing.  The library is located at Main and Astor Streets, across from the Metro-North Hudson Line Station in Irvington. Wine and refreshments will be served.  For more information, contact President Mavis Cain at (914) 693-0529 or mcain@aqueduct.org.                                                                                                           ######
