Is God Green? The Rivertowns Forum on Culture & Faith Presents a Lecture by Dr. Calvin B. Dewitt, Professor of Environmental Studies at The University Of Wisconsin-Madison

The Rivertowns Forum on Culture and Faith will present a lecture by Dr. Calvin B. DeWitt, a nationally recognized expert in wetland ecology, environmental policy, and faith-based environmental stewardship, at The First Reformed Church in Hastings on Hudson on Sunday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m.  The Rivertowns Forum on Culture and Faith is an outreach of Trinity Rivertowns Church in Hastings to promote conversations in the Rivertowns about Christian faith, the arts, and contemporary society. 

 

DeWitt is an environmental scientist in the Nelson Institute at the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he serves on the graduate faculties of Land Resources, Water Resources Management, Limnology and Marine Science, and Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development. DeWitt is also cofounder of the Evangelical Environmental Network and director emeritus of the Au Sable Institute.  He is author of Earthwise: A Guide to Hopeful Creation Care, Song of a Scientist: The Harmony of a God-Soaked Creation, as well as numerous articles published in academic journals.  He has given major addresses at more than 100 North American colleges and universities and worldwide.
