The Town acts as a collector of taxes for the school districts but plays no role in deciding how much your school tax bill will be.  If you do not pay your school tax bill the town pays your tax bill to the school district---we guarantee the schools 100% of the taxes owed to them whether the taxes are paid or not. Because we upfront the money, we can eventually foreclose on land --if taxes on the land have not been paid.

Anne Povella is the Receiver of Taxes.  Town Hall is located at 177 Hillside Ave, White Plains.
