12-Year-Old Charged with Criminal Mischief

This report was derived from information from the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

  • A 47-year-old Hastings-on-Hudson resident reported on Oct. 25 at 1:55 p.m. that her wallet and house key were stolen from her purse while she was shopping at a Main Street grocery store. She noticed it was missing when she went to pay for her groceries.
  • The wallet contained $50 cash, personal papers, in addition to a Visa card. There was a $200 charge to Walgreens in Yonkers made on the Citibank Visa card, which the victim said she did not make. Police are investigating the incident.
  • An employee a Warburton Avenue service station reported that on Oct. 24 at 6:40 p.m. that someone entered through a broken pane on one of the bay doors. The only thing that was stolen was a $5 coffee can filled with coins. There was some damage done to a closet door.
  • A 12-year-old was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal trespassing in the third degree for allegedly breaking into Chemka Pool on Oct. 1. An unlocked office at the pool was broken into, ransacked and painted with graffiti. The 12-year-old was sent to family court.
