Dobbs Ferry Police arrested a 15-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident for criminal possession of a weapon on Sept. 29, a fourth degree class A misdemeanor.
Police responded to a report around 4:28 p.m. of kids lighting a campfire on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail in the rear of Dobbs Ferry High School. Police interviewed the group of kids and asked to inspect their backpacks.
The 15-year-old was found to allegedly have a butterfly knife in his backpack, which is illegal. The teen was charged and released to a family member and will report to Yonkers Family Court on Oct. 4.
