Three handguns were surrendered to Hastings-on-Hudson Police on March 9 at 5:52 p.m. on behalf of Robert Jufer, who was charged in February for fatally shooting his 68-year-old wife in their Pennsylvania home in 2010.
The two Smith & Wesson and one PW Arms Redmond guns were returned by the 71-year-old’s son who said his aunt, Jufer’s sister, received a phone call from an unknown police department saying that all of Jufer’s firearms in his Hastings-on-Hudson home must be surrendered to a police department.
Jufer was arrested for the murder in his Hastings-on-Hudson home on High Street on Feb. 6 and was charged in Pennsylvania with an open count of homicide.
Pennsylvania State Police found 108 rifles, shotguns and handguns in Jufer’s Pennsylvania home. There was no search warrant executed for Jufer’s Hastings-on-Hudson home. Click here for our original story on Jufer’s arrest.
