Cops: Dobbs Ferry Woman Arrested After Asking Passersby for Crack

Police said the woman had a crack pipe in her possession.

Dobbs Ferry Police reported receiving a call from a resident at 9:45 p.m. October 1 who stated there was a woman standing on Bellwood Avenue asking people walking by if they were selling crack.

Police responded to the street and found a woman matching the caller's description.

The suspect, a 37-year-old village resident, eventually handed over a crack pipe with a substance believed to be crack cocaine to police officers.

She was arrested and processed at headquarters for the alleged crime of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a misdemeanor.

While processing the suspect, police discovered she had an active warrant out of Mount Vernon. She was therefore turned over to Mount Vernon Police and was due to appear in Dobbs Ferry Court today.
