Cops: Groups Wreaks Havoc at Hastings' VFW Park

A number of items were upset and overturned at the Warburton Avenue park, Hastings Police said.

Police in Hastings-on-Hudson received a 2:05 a.m. call on September 14 from a person reporting a group at VFW was in the process of damaging property.

Officers responded to Warburton Avenue, where they tracked down a group matching the caller's description and detained the four suspects.

At the park, police said a number of items had been disturbed—a garbage can was knocked over, dirt and flower pots had been thrown and a table was bent out of shape.

Police said they were unable to reach the caller to identity the suspects, so the group was released at the scene.
