An under 21 Irvington resident was arrested in the village after police stopped her 2013 BMW on West Main Street, according to the department.
A police officer reported noticing an open container of alcoholic beverage* Four Loko as he approached the vehicle at 11:58 p.m. on August 20.
The car's driver, a 17-year-old village resident, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and transported to headquarters for processing.
Her vehicle was impounded.
At headquarters, she was formally charged with misdemeanor Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree and the violation of Unlawful Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage by a person under 21.
Additionally, police allege she had a fraudulent Maryland driver's license in her possession. She was therefore also charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor.
The teen was released to her parents and is due in Village Court on September 9.
