Cops: Woman Arrested After Stealing Baby Formula

A call reporting shoplifting at Hastings' A&P led to an apprehension on Wednesday, police said.

Police tracked down a Toyota Camry and stopped it as it traveled south on Broadway.

The driver, a 27-year-old Yonkers woman, was arrested and charged with petit larceny for allegedly taking four containers of baby formula and a package of chopped meat from A&P.

Police said the items, worth approximately $138, were recovered from the vehicle. The driver was also cited for several vehicle and traffic violations.

Her passenger, a male, has not yet been charged.

The woman was processed and released on $200 bail. She is due in Village Court on June 19.
