Dobbs Ferry Cops: Missing Hubcap; ID Theft

Items reported stolen recently in the village include an iPhone hubcap, according to police.

Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department:

Identity Theft
Police received a report on the night of August 7 from a Hastings resident, who works in Dobbs Ferry, that someone had opened a line of credit using his personal information with Bill Me Later. He reported he had been charged $3,001.08 by Hewlett Packard for computer equipment. Police are investigating the felony-level crime.

Hubcap Reported Stolen
A Northfield Avenue resident reported a hubcap had been taken from his Toyota Corolla, valued at $30, between 1 and 2 p.m. on August 6.

iPhone Snatched
A local teen contacted police on August 10 and said his iPhone, worth $400, had been stolen while sitting on a park bench at Waterfront Park between 12:15 an 12:30 a.m. that day.
