Dobbs Ferry Dunkin' Among 3 in Area Burglarized

Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and Elmsford Dunkin' Donuts all affected by burglaries, according to police.

Cash from a register an an ATM inside a closed Dunkin' Donuts in Dobbs Ferry went missing during the overnight hours last week, according to the Police Department.

Dobbs Ferry Police reported receiving a call at 5:21 a.m. on September 5 reporting the burglary.

Police said there were no apparent signs of forced entry at the business. It's possible, police said, the door had been left unlocked overnight by an employee or a delivery person with access.


As much as $700 in cash from the register and $13,000 from an ATM inside the store were reported missing.

Village Police said they are investigating the incident along with Ardsley and Greenburgh Police, which also had Dunkin' Donuts shops in their jurisdictions hit the same night.

In Dobbs Ferry, two cash register draws were on the floor behind the counter when police arrived, while the ATM suffered unspecified damage.

Police wouldn't comment Monday regarding any suspects or surveillance in the case, but News 12 previously reported "two men wearing ski masks spent roughly 30 minutes at each location."
