Dobbs Ferry PD: Stolen Vehicle; Break-In at Church

A cell phone charger taken from a vehicle and a Macbook stolen from a home among the recent reports.

Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department:

Items Missing from Vehicle
A village resident reported to police on October 23 that someone had entered his locked Jeep Cherokee overnight while it was parked on Broadway. He told police about $2 in coins and a $75 cell phone charger were missing.

Stolen Van
A Stamford, CT, resident reported to police on October 23 that a white Dodge van parked on Oak Street had gone missing sometime between 8 p.m. the evening before and 6:30 a.m. that day. The van's owner told police there was a spare key inside the vehicle.

Missing MacBook
A Myrtle Avenue resident contacted police at 11:19 a.m. October 24 and reported a Macbook had been taken from her residence's unlocked sunroom sometime between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. the day before.

Possible Burglary
Police received a report from a caretaker at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on October 26 that someone had forced open the door to the pastor's office. Inside the office, a file cabinet had been pried open, according to the caretaker, but nothing of value appeared to be missing.
