Dobbs Ferry Police: Missing Jewelry; Rearview Mirror Trouble

Rearview mirrors damaged and stolen during two separate incidents, according to police.

Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department:

Hospital Patient's Missing Valuables
A Scarsdale man who was treated at the St. John's Riverside Hospital emergency room and discharged on July 6 reported to police on August 14 that his jewelry went missing.

The man said wedding ring, a cross ring and bracelet were removed from him prior to treatment and not returned.

Car Vandalism
A Children's Village supervisor contacted police on August 16 to report an 18-year-old student had kicked and damaged two rearview mirrors on two vehicles that were parked in front of the Special Services building.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.

Missing Mirrors
A Yonkers resident told police at 11:30 a.m. on August 18 that sometime between midnight and 11 a.m. that day, the rearview mirrors of her vehicle were stolen.

She said she was parked in an Ogden Avenue driveway at the time. The mirrors are valued at $250.
