Dobbs Ferry Police: Stolen Bicycle; Trespassing

A resident reported $50 was taken from her vehicle over the weekend, police said.

Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department:

Stolen Bicycle
A Broadway resident reported to police on September 30 that his Trek mountain bike, valued at $1,200, had been taken from his backyard sometime between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.

Man Who Snatched Phone Arrested
Police received a call from a person who reported witnessing a domestic dispute 
occurring inside a vehicle on Ogden Avenue around 5:43 p.m. September 30.

Police interviewed a man and woman at the scene and ultimately arrested the 25-year-old Yonkers male for allegedly taking the woman's phone. She told police she had attempted to call police about their dispute, but he took her phone.

The man was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree at headquarters and released on his own recognizance with an October 3 court date.

Man Refused to Leave Park
Police reported that while attempting to disperse a group from Waterfront Park at midnight October 5 after Ferry Festa, one man refused to leave, though he was asked to repeatedly.

The 19-year-old village resident was issued a trespassing ticket at the scene and then left without further incident.

Cash Missing from Car
A resident reported to police on October 5 that a $20 bill and $30 worth of quarters were taken from her vehicle sometime between 5 p.m. the day prior and 11 a.m. Sunday while it was parked on Broadway. She told police she was unsure if she had locked her vehicle.
