Hastings Man Struck by Vehicle Critical: Report

An 80-year-old driver's vehicle reportedly hit cars and went up onto a Bronxville sidewalk before striking the Hastings man.

A pedestrian in Bronxville was reportedly struck by a vehicle that went up onto the sidewalk Friday, according to a report on lohud.com.

Police told the paper the Hastings man was pinned underneath the 80-year-old driver's Buick Lacrosse as a result of the accident.

"His chest was crushed," Bronxville Sgt. Richard Anderson told lohud.com.

The Hastings man was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment and is in "critical condition," the paper reported Tuesday.
