Hastings Police: Co-Worker Confrontation; Destroyed Furniture

Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department:

Co-Worker Dispute

Police responded at 6:09 p.m. July 31 to A&P after a caller reported an "unruly" person at the store. Responding officers reported that the day prior, a female employee of the store had reported to the manager that a co-worker had sexually harassed her.

On July 31, the woman's fiancé reportedly showed up at the store to confront the manager about failing to address the complaint appropriately. When he did so, a dispute escalated, according to police.

The female employee went to police headquarters to file a deposition. Police said the dispute appeared to be otherwise resolved and no criminal charges have yet been filed.

Graham Student Damages Furniture, Later Hospitalized

Police were called to the Graham School on the night of July 31 after a caller reported a 16-year-old male student had been arguing with a staff member.

Staff told police the student had overturned tables, chairs and couches and destroyed a bookshelf before leaving the area.

About two-and-a-half hours later, the school called police again to report the student had returned and was threatening staff members.

Responding officers said it appeared the student was off his medication and was acting violently. He was transported by ambulance, with a police escort, to St. Joseph's Medical Center's emergency room. Police noted they had to use force on the youth.

No criminal charges have been filed yet.

Youths Flee, Beer Left Behind

Police reported on August 2 witnessing multiple youths fleeing Burke Field at approximately 11:20 p.m. Officers reported beer cans and bottles were left behind. A red cloth bag was also found in the area and secured by police for safekeeping.
