Irvington MS/HS Field Vandalized, Sign Stolen; More

  • Gary Knowles, director of facilities for the Irvington School District, reported to police on Sept. 6 that someone had driven on the east field at the middle/high school complex causing damage. A yellow “Field Closed” sign, valued at $300, was also stole. The incident is being investigated as criminal mischief, a felony.
  • The Greenburgh Drug an Alcohol Task Force, which has an Irvington police officer as its member, arrested a 19-year-old White Plains female and an 18-year-old Elmsford male for unlawful possession of marijuana at W. Main and Bridge streets on Aug. 6 at 10:45 p.m. They were released and given appearance tickets.
  • The task force also arrested an 18-year-old Irvington resident for the same offense during a traffic stop on Aug. 30 at 5:10 p.m.
  • A North Broadway resident reported that the lock bar on his gate was stolen for a fourth time on Aug. 3. The clip is valued at $100.
