Irvington Police: Break-In; Dispute at Train Station
An unoccupied residence that's under construction may have been targeted, police said.
Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Irvington Police Department:
Driving Arrest
Police reported stopping a 2006 Volkswagon on North Broadway July 27 after an officer received a license plate reader hit.
Following the 3:30 p.m. stop, police reported the 38-year-old Tarrytown driver was arrested for driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.
Her vehicle was impounded and the car's license plates were seized.
She was processed and released on her own recognizance and is due in Village Court on August 26.
Empty Home Disturbed
The owner of an under construction Strawberry Hill Manor home reported to police on July 30 that someone had entered the residence.
The owner reported, according to police, that it appeared someone had entered the home through a window between 4 p.m. on July 29 and 2 p.m. on July 30. The window lock was broken.
Police said the only item apparently missing from the home was a key, but several other items were moved around.
The incident remains under investigation
Dispute at Train Station
Police received a report of a dispute at the Irvington Metro North station at 9:09 p.m. on August 4.
Responding officers reported there had been a dispute between a husband and wife. Police said witnesses thought the incident could have been an abduction and the investigation was turned over to MTA Police.
Police reported about an hour later that the couple was found in Dobbs Ferry.
