Mysterious Package Delivered, Picked Up

This report was derived from information from the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A UPS man approached a Hastings-on-Hudson Police officer after he handed over a package to two men who seemed suspicious on Nov. 14.

Two men in a brown Ford Crown Victoria  approached the UPS man around 10:52 a.m and said they were waiting for a package for a Maple Avenue residence.

The UPS did have a package for the address and gave it to the men after one of them produced identification showing that they lived at the address. Being familiar with the area, the UPS man was suspicious and reported the incident.

Police confirmed that neither of them men live at the residence and that the homeowner was not expecting a package.

It's probably nothing. Nothing that anyone couldn't find on the Aqueduct. Sure, it's a little topsy turvy these days, but there's no reason for Hastings to concern itself with such matters. Thankfully Hastings has a Mayor who's head is not buried in self centered liberal sand. Crime is down, remember.
