Police Arrest Bronx Man Unloading Tires at Hastings Train Station

The defendant, 27, lost his license and had his vehicle impounded.

A 27-year old Bronx man is being charged with multiple violations after illegally unloading tires at the dead end of Southside Avenue, near the Metro North train station in Hastings-on-Hudson, police said.

The defendant was in the midst of unloading “dozens of tires” on Sunday, Dec. 8, when the Metro North police called Hastings-on-Hudson police for assistance. He was subsequently charged with “illegally dumping tires,” a misdemeanor and a Village of Hastings-on-Hudson ordinance violation. He also lost his license, and his vehicle – a truck with a flatbed – was impounded, police said.

The defendant was sent to Westchester County jail with $225 bail, police said.
