Police: Dobbs Ferry Man Disrupted Court Proceedings, Struck Man

Two men who police said have an ongoing dispute reportedly disrupted courtroom proceedings.

A man present at Village Hall for a scheduled court appearance ended up in handcuffs again on November 7, according to police.

The 48-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident, reportedly struck a 34-year-old Ossining man in the back of the head while the two were outside, near the courtroom entrance, at about 10:18 a.m., police said.

According to police, the two men had an ongoing dispute and were not due in court that day on matters related to their disagreements.

The Dobbs Ferry man was subsequently arrested following the alleged attack and charged with Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, after officials said the conflict disrupted the courtroom proceedings.

Note: Arrests do not indicate convictions.
