Police: Drink Thrown in Face Leads to Weapon Arrest in Dobbs Ferry
A man who allegedly verbally threatened another village resident was seen with a baseball bat, police said.
A report of a two-person dispute in Dobbs Ferry led to an arrest, police reported.
Police first received a complaint from a local man who said another man threw a drink in his face 8:54 p.m. on October 5.
The victim, police said, then proceeded to continually threaten the man who threw the drink and continued to do so after filing a complaint at headquarters.
About an hour later, officers reported spotting the 48-year-old man who allegedly made the threats walking with a baseball bat down Cedar Street in the direction of the other man's house.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a misdemeanor. He was processed and held overnight at police headquarters and arraigned the next morning.
A judge issued an order of protection in favor of the alleged victim and the man was released on his own recognizance.
