Police: Out Car Lights Leads to DWI Arrest

- A 44-year-old Brooklyn resident was pulled over on Broadway in Hastings-on-Hudson on Sept. 11 at 10:45 p.m. for allegedly driving without his head or taillights and was subsequently arrested for a DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said the Brooklyn man, who was also cited for traffic infractions, failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a chemical blood test to measure his blood alcohol level, which he was ticketed for. He was unable to make bail and later released on his own recognizance.
- A 43-year-old Hastings-on-Hudson woman reported two unauthorized withdrawals from her Chase checking account on Sept. 12 for $1,991.21 and $293.51 that were made to Sprint. The name of the person involved in the transaction was Stephanie Jackson.
- A 54-year-old Hastings-on-Hudson man reported on Sept. 13 that he received two bad checks for $950 from someone who bought something from him on Craigslist. After he cashed the checks, his bank told him that they were fraudulent.
