Police: ‘Sexually Disturbing’ Letters Continue to Plague Female Residents

A false identity and return address is creating "a lot of work and annoyance" for the Dobbs Ferry Police Department.

Dobbs Ferry Police received several more reports from female residents who have received a letter that is “sexually disturbing” in the last week.

These reports follow three other reports in recent weeks in which residents have received a letter from a “Renell Pizarrow,” which is believed to be a false identity. The return address on the letters is that of well-known Dobbs Ferry chef David Dibari, who police have confirmed has nothing to do with the letters' origins.

The letters have been sent to female employees at schools and churches in addition to random residences – all of which is “creating a lot of work and annoyance,” police said.

Police said while it will be difficult to track down the author of the letters, residents are encouraged to notify police if they receive one. It is also helpful to handle the letters “as little as possible,” as it might be possible to pull something for processing from a letter.
