The victim had left her car open and running.

A 14-year old resident of St. Chrisopher’s in Hastings-on-Hudson is being charged with multiple felonies after stealing a car and resisting arrest, both Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry police said.

Police said the defendant was seen “jumping into and fleeing off in” a green 2005 Toyota Corolla on Thursday, Dec. 12 at approximately 6 p.m. The victim, a 37-year old female from Yonkers, had gone into Slices Pizza while leaving her car open and running. Upon leaving the restaurant she witnessed her car being stolen.

The victim called Hastings-on-Hudson police and reported that she was “on foot running after the car and has just lost sight of it, but believes it turned onto Broadway,” police said.
