Police: Westchester Man Stopped for DWI Found with 44 Ounces of Heroin

He's arrested by state troopers on Taconic State Parkway.

A Westchester County man stopped for a traffic violation on the the Taconic State Parkway was found with 44 ounces of heroin, according to State Police.

Gary Matos, 43, of White Plains, was also found to be intoxicated and was driving while he had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system, state troopers based in Poughkeepsie said.

Matos was stopped by troopers on Friday at 4:15 p.m. in the Dutchess County town of LaGrange for speeding, unsafe lane changes and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway. As police were citing him for the vehicle and traffic violations they found that Matos was intoxicated.

During the investigation troopers discovered the heroin.

Matos was arrested and arraigned in LaGrange Town Court. He was ordered held in the Dutchess County Jail pending a hearing Tuesday in LaGrance Town Court on charges that include first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

In Singapore, Mr. Matos would be executed for this crime. In America, he will serve 20 years in prison

We should charge the government with the millions of lives they take every day from cigarettes smoke! The cigarettes are the real killer do the research how many people die each year from marajuana, cocaine and other drugs compare to cigarettes ?

that would cost wholesale 20,000.. and he could of sold it for 45,000 retail.... This man has been doing this for a LONG time.....
