Traffic Infraction Leads to Marijuana Arrest in Hastings

The Greenburgh Drug & Alcohol Task Force reported arresting a driver who allegedly ran a stop sign near A&P.

A driver was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana June 13 after the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force reported observing the 23-year-old village resident go through a stop sign near the A&P.

Police stopped the vehicle on High Street and reportedly smelled marijuana in the vehicle.

The Hastings woman was found to be in possession of a green leafy substance inside of a white napkin police believe to be marijuana.

She was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation. Her passenger was not charged.
