If at First You Don't Succeed

Eight Clarkstown teenagers ranging in age from 14 to 17, kicked off a party bus because of their behavior, face alcohol-related charges in New Jersey after they were pulled over on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in a jam-packed car that was spotted moving erratically, according to police.

Parkway Police said the teens took to the road in hopes of reaching a party boat on Long Island after a high school dance event Saturday night.

Two Arrested in I-95 Drive-by

Two men have been charged with attempted murder after an incident March 10; police said they pulled up to another vehicle on the ramp at Exit 15 in New Rochelle and opened fire with a handgun.

Road-rage Suspect Hit with Drug Charge

A man who allegedly menaced another driver with a handgun was arrested two weeks following the incident and found with crack cocaine packaged for sale, New York State Police said.

Police found more than they expected when they arrested 29-year-old Cortlandt resident Akil Webster March 15.

A Port Chester man came home Tuesday night to find the tail lights on his van were broken, and thanks to a security camera he was able to provide police with images of a suspect whom police hope to ID. 

DWI Driving Wrong Way on I-684

A 23-year-old White Plains man faces an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge after police say he nearly crashed into an ambulance while driving the wrong way on Interstate 684 Sunday morning. 

20 Motorists Ticketed for Failure to 'Move Over'

Officials at the  announced that the agency plans to conduct details that enforce New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law Section 1144A—better known as the — throughout the county in the near future.

Last week, police say a detail in Garrison yielded 20 tickets in one hour for failure to comply with the law.

Good to see the "move over' law is doing just what it was intended on doing....making money for the towns..... if it is really for the cops... then how about they donate the fees received from the violations to a good cause?? some charity that supplies the widows and children of police officers maybe? Although, I must say..I have personally witnessed near accidents because of this law. I suggest they look at what it has caused in 5 years and see if has really helped.
