A Pleasant Valley woman was cited for having illegal fireworks in her car Thursday when she was stopped for a traffic violation on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, according to State Police.
Troopers said the 31-year-old was also cited for marijuana possession.
She was stopped at midnight on Thursday by state troopers from the Hawthorne barracks after being spotted making an unsafe lane change. Police said one partially burnt marijuana cigarette and a clear plastic bag containing marijuana were found in the car. Illegal Fireworks were located in the trunk in a large plastic bag.
The driver was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of fireworks. She was released pending a July 26 hearing in Greenburgh Town Court.
