Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation announced that part of Ashford Avenue in Ardsley and Dobbs Ferry will be closed Wednesday morning due to emergency bridge repair work.

One eastbound lane between Southfield Avenue and Saw Mill River Road (Route 9A) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Below is the full announcement from the Department of Public Works and Transportation:

Motorists are advised that Ashford Avenue will have one eastbound lane closed between Southfield Avenue and Saw Mill River Road (Route 9A) on Wednesday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This closure is necessary to conduct emergency bridge joint repair work and inspections.

A large scale bridge rehabilitation project is planned and expected to be completed in 2017.  That work will be paid for with a combination of federal, state and county funds.

It would be great if the buses could be somehow prioritized during this project. This way more people will choose to ride the bus instead of driving, and easing traffic.
