Below is the full announcement from the Department of Public Works and Transportation:

Motorists are advised that Ashford Avenue will have one eastbound lane closed between Southfield Avenue and Saw Mill River Road (Route 9A) on Wednesday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This closure is necessary to conduct emergency bridge joint repair work and inspections.

A large scale bridge rehabilitation project is planned and expected to be completed in 2017.  That work will be paid for with a combination of federal, state and county funds.
