Dobbs Ferry Continues Waterfront Improvements

The village is currently reviewing bids for upland improvements, according to the Mayor.

The Village of Dobbs Ferry's Hudson River shoreline is getting a makeover.

"The seawall at Willow Point is almost completed; most of the ‘dead man’ structures and support rods have been installed; final grading and clean-up work should finish this portion of the stabilization work phase in the next few weeks," Mayor Hartley Connett shared in his Sunday newsletter.

Coming up next, the Village has received "multiple bids" for work on its upland improvements, Connett added, which are currently being reviewed.

"It is too early to say if any action will be taken regarding the bids at the August 6 meeting,"he shared, adding, "It will certainly be discussed. There is a lot to review and as much as the village wants to get moving on the upland construction phase, it is a most important long-term decision; details of the bids and costs must also be evaluated versus budget. We will keep everyone posted as to the next steps in the waterfront project."
