Mayor: Rivertowns Square Review Resumes

Mayor Hartley Connett communicates that the village will resume its review of the Rivertowns Square proposal.

The following is an excerpt from Mayor Hartley Connett's newsletter, sent Thursday morning, reguarding the continuation of the Rivertowns Square environmental review.

, the Village Board of Trustees has been contacted by the developer of the Rivertowns Square project as Lead Agency of the review process and the Final Environmental Impact Statement (‘FEIS’). Accordingly, the Village has notified its consultants to continue the review of the FEIS under SEQRA to ensure that the FEIS is adequate and accurate before the Board of Trustees can accept as complete. Once the board has determined the document is complete, it can then be released to the public for the comment period under the SEQRA process. We cannot give exact time frame at this time as to when the Public Hearing will be scheduled for the FEIS but of course the village will provide timely updates to the public as things are moving forward again.

We'll update as more information becomes available.
