Updated state legislative maps released Tuesday by a special committee of lawmakers show lines that are nearly the same as the earlier versions released in .
The maps show that the Rivertowns will remain in the 35th district, which is currently occupied by Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
On the state assembly side, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson and Irvington residents will continue to be in a district 92 that is currently occupied by Thomas J. Abinanti.
Whether or not Gov. Andrew Cuomo approves the maps remains to be seen. According to the Albany Times-Union, Cuomo may veto the package because he feels that a proposed state constitutional amendment to reform the redistricting process doesn't take it away from legislators.
Meanwhile, a federal judge has taken control over the redistricting process for Congressional seats, having released her also alternate map (click here to find it in the docket sheet).
