Another Bad Winter? Schools Have Snow Day Plans in Rivertowns

Despite the year's first school cancellation on Tuesday, Dec. 10, snowfall has not put a dent into Dobbs Ferry, Irvington or Hastings-on-Hudson 2013-2014 school calendars – yet.

Here are the contingency plans for each district if further cancellations begin to pile up:

Dobbs Ferry: If emergency school closings exceed two, make-up days will be scheduled in this order: May 23, April 21, April 17, April 16.

Irvington: In the event that school closings due to weather or other emergencies would bring the number of school days below the state minimum requirements, additional days will be added to the school calendar.

Hastings-on-Hudson: If there are more than 6 snow days, the following days will be school days, in this order: May 23, April 21, April 14

June 26 is the last day of school in all three districts.
