The following notice was sent out to parents in the Dobbs Ferry Union Free School District:

This is to inform you that at 1:15 p.m. today, an unidentified person was on the grounds of the Dobbs Ferry High School. He was denied access to the building and the Dobbs Ferry Police Department was called. The man posed no threat. He was arrested due to an outstanding warrant.
Students returning from lunch were redirected to the middle school entrance and were kept at a safe distance from the police action.
