Week 3: Art Adventures – ages 5 – 6
Nature is the perfect fuel for children’s imaginations!
During Art Adventures, children use natural materials for arts and crafts, and learn about science through daily explorations with Sid the Science Kid. Sid – created by the Jim Henson Company for PBS Kids – motivates children to use their natural curiosity about the world around them. “Compare, contrast, and describe!”
Through supportive dialogue we encourage original thinking, creative problem solving and individual artistry. Children benefit from the time practicing their fine
motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
In addition, campers will enjoy Catch of the Day Seining, a train trip to the Kathryn W. Davis Riverwalk Center in Sleepy Hollow, nature-based arts and crafts, free time for games and personal projects and creative play.
