Runners of All Ages Take Part in Dobbs Ferry 5K

The annual Labor Day run took over the village's streets Monday.

Runners young and old, but all smiling, took to the Dobbs Ferry streets Monday for the annual 5K run.

According to the village's Recreation Department, 111 runners participated in this year's event, with Kevin Beganics of the Bronx placing first overall for the fourth consecutive year. His 17:24 time beat out the next two Dobbs Ferry finishers—Vincent Galgano at 17:51 and Bruce Cadonhead, 18:24.

Dobbs Ferry's Carolyn Clarick took home the gold medal for the females, with a time of 23:09. Runner-up Judy Rubin, of White Plains, clocked in at 23:15; while Dobbs Ferry's Zara Young, Dobbs Ferry, placed third among the women with a time of 24:11.
