The women's basketball team fell at No. 23 Dowling College tonight (Jan. 25) by a score of 70-24. Senior Jasmine Williams led the Mavericks with six points and six rebounds.

College News from Dick Miller

His stuff has already been seen here previously, but we'd like to personally welcome Dick Miller to the Daily Sports Digest. We are very happy to have his reports on all the college happenings of our local student-athletes.:

In news results from the college's website, it was reported that on the 25th, Lisa Bucci (Irv.'10) of Salve Regina, had a trey, a rebound, and an assist in the Seagulls' 67-61 win.

The Skidmore website reports that, at St. Lawrence on the 24th, Skidmore topped the Saints, 63-57, with Kevin Dahill (D.F.'10) sinking 2 from the floor and having 1 rebound in the game.

With Bridgeport at home on the 25th, the Aquinas Falcons prevailed, 57-55, as Riley Harrington (Irv.'10) had a basket, 2 boards, an assist, and a steal on the night In a 64-57 loss at home to Keeene State on the 24th, according to the St. Thomas Aquinas website.

The university website reports that Nick Nedwick (Irv.'10) of Eastern Ct. had a game high of 16 points, coming on 4-14 plus 7-7 in foul shooting. He also had 1 board, 3 assists, and 2 pilfers on the night.

In a 63-49 loss at home to Oswego, Geneso's Ryan Riefenhauser (D.F.'09) a bucket, a foul point, and a team high of 8 rebounds, plus 2 assists and 3 steals, as reported on the team website.

Though playing but 17 minutes in a game at Albertus Magnus on the 24th, Connecticut College's Tara Gableman (Irv. '10) still managed to score a game high of 16 points, plus having 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in the game. Her team website sent the report.

In a 156-64 loss at Cortland on the 24th, Oswego's Katie Flood ('H10) finished 2nd in the Individual Medley, with a time of 2:23.25, while she was 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke, clocked at 1:11.46. The news came from the Laker website.
