Memorial Day Weekend is more than just the official kickoff for summer. It is a wonderful opportunity to remember those that serve and have served our country, especially those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms.
Dobbs Ferry's parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, starting at Mohegan Park Avenue and proceeding down to Dobbs High School, then to Memorial Park.
Hastings-on-Hudson starts with a parade at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 26. Like last year, it will start by Reynolds Field and wend down through Five Corners, down Main Street and then right on Warburton Avenue and through town. The ceremony will take place at the VFW on Warburton.
Irvington begins and ends with commemoration. Events begin at 10:45 a.m. May 27 in front of the war memorials on Main Street. The parade goes from there to Memorial Park for final ceremonies.
