2013 Ferry Festa 'The Best One Yet'

"The 2013 Ferry Festa may have been the best one yet."
With sunny skies cooperating Saturday, Festa Co-Chair Paddy Steinschneider told Patch in an email, "Everyone was having a great time and it was a wonderful outpouring of community spirit."
Saturday marked the 11th annual community affair that took over the downtown.
"In eleven years of creating this block party, we have never had the constant crowd of this years, which went from before the Festa was supposed to start and continued until after it was supposed to be over," said Steinschneider. "As much as it is a party that provides fun for kids of all ages, it is also an important tool that we have been using to strengthen the bonds in our downtown. Our goal is to help our downtown businesses and property owners so that Dobbs Ferry can be a healthier, more sustainable, and more complete community."
Another sure sign of a successful event? Said Steinschneider, "People are already volunteering to be part of next year's Festa."
